National Theatre Live: The Fifth Step, February 5 2026 at 7.30pm

National Theatre Live at Isbourne Arts

An encore screening of this latest release, Jack Lowden (Slow Horses) and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) star in this subversively funny new play by David Ireland.

The Fifth Step, at Isbourne Arts on December 4 at 7.30pm

After years in the 12 step programme of Alcoholics Anonymous, James becomes a sponsor to newcomer, Luka. The pair bond over black coffee and trade stories but as Luka approaches step five, the moment of confession, dangerous truths emerge, threatening the trust on which both of their recoveries depend.

Directed by Finn den Hertog, this is a provocative production, filmed live in London’s West End.

Tickets: £15.50 standard; £11.60 under-26. Book here.

Screening starts at 7.30pm, doors and bar open at 6.45pm.
