Isbourne Arts is bringing the big screen to Winchcombe. You can now see screenings and film at the Izzy and our first showing is National Theatre Live: Mrs. Warren’s Profession.
This brilliant production from National Theatre Live brings West End drama to Winchcombe. And it will premiere on October 23.
This brand new release stars five-time Olivier Award winner Imelda Staunton (The Crown). She’s on stage with her real-life daughter, Bessie Carter (Bridgerton), for the very first time as they star in George Bernard Shaw’s incendiary classic.
Vivie Warren (Bessie Carter) is a woman ahead of her time. Her mother, Mrs. Warren (Imelda Staunton), however, is a product of an old patriarchal order. Exploiting it has earned Mrs. Warren a fortune – but at what cost?
Filmed live, this new production reunites Imelda Staunton with director Dominic Cooke (Follies, Good), exploring the clash between morality and independence, traditions and progress.
